Where does the Northern Lights cannabis strain come from?

The first time this cannabis strain appeared was in Seattle, and shortly afterwards it found its way to Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, the entrepreneur Neville Schoenmaker, who gained great fame through his seed bank, got his hands on it and developed Northern Lights into a real masterpiece. Today, this strain is divided into three different phenotypes. The first can be described as a true diamond and the emperor of all Indicas. The other two are mainly used for crossing with other cannabis plants and have already produced some cup winners.

This strain is, so to speak, the benchmark for all Indicas, which is still used in comparisons today. The exact origin of this strain is still a mystery.
