The jewel of the Indica strains

Straight from Hindu Kush comes the genetics of the sought-after Master Kush, a cannabis strain that is considered robust and easy to care for, while delivering a particularly high yield. The maximum potency of the Indica strain and the resistance to pests are just two reasons why the cannabis plant from the Hindu Kush mountains is so popular with growers.

What is Master Kush?

The indica hybrid Master Kush dates back to the 1990s and was originally cultivated in the Dutch capital Amsterdam. Master Kush (the original strain and not the CBD one) is 90% Indica genotype and 10% Sativa type. Her parents are Hindu Kush and Skunk, the THC content is over 20 percent. The CBD content, however, is low.

Master Kush became known for the first time in 1990 and quickly made a name for itself. The cannabis convinces with a unique aroma, the plants and the flowering are made for cultivation in the European climate. At the Cannabis Cup, Master Kush received an adulation from rapper Snoop Dog in 1992 and 1993, who declared Master Kush to be his favourite strain. In 2004, Master Kush was also awarded at the Highlife Cup.

Master Kush is characterised by its unique aroma, a short flowering time and high-quality buds.

Flowering time and growing info – how to cultivate Master Kush

The Indica genetics allow a rather simple cultivation of the cuttings with a passable yield. In general, Kush strains and their cuttings are considered very easy to care for and have some positive characteristics. When cultivating outdoors, a sunny location and hot climate is optimal for the plant. However, the plants can also be grown indoors, as their growth is medium and they do not need so much space. The flowering time is between 8 and 10 weeks, the yield indoors is estimated at 400 g per square metre, outdoors up to 510 g per plant can be reached. Master Kush is harvested in outdoor cultivation at the beginning of October. The maximum yield can be achieved if a sunny spot with high temperatures is available.
