Everything you need to know about CBD Shatter

CBD is all the rage, but have you heard of CBD Shatter? Simply put, it’s one of the most potent concentrations of cannabinoids on the cannabis market today. But you can also make your own shatter, find out what you need, what wax shatter means and what benefits the cannabinoids have for you now!

What is shatter?

Shatter has become a popular form among experienced CBD users because it contains high concentrations of cannabinoids. It is an extract, which is also known as BHO (Butane Hash Oil). Butane gas can be used for production, acting as a solvent to produce maximum concentrates of cannabinoids and trichomes. We use the much safer method of CO2 extraction for our lab staff and our customers. Trichomes are found in the centre of cannabis flowers and are recognisable as small, fine crystals.

To extract the trichomes, the plant or more precisely the flower has to be treated with e.g. butane and heated. Then the purified extracts are left to rest for a while until you get a golden, glassy extract, which is then called shatter. The name comes from the fact that the extract is very fragile. Shatter translates as “to break”.

Shatter is either used straight or processed into a wax. The concentration of cannabinoids is similar in shatter and wax, the biggest differences are in the consistencies. Wax is rather moist, shatter is brittle and reminds a bit of a crystal shard.

How to use CBD Shatter?

Shatter is usually vaporized under high temperatures. Vaporizing allows the Shatter to spread its full aroma. It is becoming more and more trendy to use quite expensive

vaporizers to be able to enjoy the full aroma during use.

What is Wax Hash?

Cannabis Wax is a subtype of BHO concentrates that are produced in the same way as Shatter. However, the dried form of the extract is then processed into a concentrate rather than used neat, which looks a bit like beeswax. The CBD concentration is very high, similar to Shatter, the content of

THC is below 0.2 percent in legal products.

The special feature of Shatter and wax hashish is, among other things, that the effect of CBD sets in quickly and is felt stronger. When vaporizing, one perceives the cannabis extracts very intensely, which is also an advantage of Wax and Shatter.

The differences are usually only in the consistencies. Both Wax and Shatter are an extract that is produced in a similar way and used later.

How much THC does Shatter have?

Cannabis is not legal in every country. In Germany, legalization has been talked about for a long time, but it has not been implemented yet. Thus, if the Shatter concentrate contains more than 0.2% THC, it is not legal in Germany. However, this applies to all cannabis products and all methods of administration.

In the concentrates, the cannabinoids can contain a proportion of up to 90%, which explains the strong effect compared to classic cannabis or other plant material.

What is CBD Shatter?

CBD Shatter is a special type because the distribution of cannabinoids is different. The hemp plant is extremely diverse and is used not only for the production of cannabis, but also for the production of CBD products. CBD Shatter is made from the hemp plant. The flowers used contain only the cannabinoid CBD and no intoxicating substances. There are special seeds that can be used to produce hemp plants without high-making cannabinoids. From these, classic budder, wax and much more can be produced. Even the well-known CBD oil comes from the low-THC hemp plant.

How much is 1g Kief?

Kief is best made by yourself. You don’t need butane, just follow the instructions above. What you do need, however, are CBD buds, which you can then use to make your shatter. There are some types of plants that you can use to make particularly high amounts of kief. Gorilla Glue is one of them.

Does hash get you high?

Hash is generally considered to be significantly more potent compared to classic weed. Whether it contains THC depends on the flowers used, there are different types. Legal BHO , Shatter, Wax or Hash can only be produced by using low THC flowers. The percentage must not exceed 0.2 percent.

Is Kief stronger than weed?

Kief is one of the most potent extracts you will find, with a concentrated amount of terpenes and other valuable plant material. If you make BHO from Kief, you will have a much stronger concentration than with pure buds. Classic cannabis is made from parts of the flower and the plant, pistils and leaves are processed. Kief, on the other hand, brings you unadulterated and pure trichomes that you can later process into shatter or wax if you want to enjoy a special potency.

Kief is considered the precursor to hash, and pressing kief will eventually give you your hash. By heating and later pressing it, you get a final product that is even stronger than kief. So you can classify it as follows:

Weed < Kief < Hash < Shatter, Wax, Isolate and co.

How else can Shatter and Wax be used?

Shatter and Wax are two (almost) identical substances with some differences. They are more potent than the classic cannabis oil and Wax, unlike Shatter, is further processed after extraction. Butane can be used as a solvent in the production of, but we in our case use only CO2 extraction for the products, as we don’t really think much of working with butane.

The good thing is that the extraction processes are getting simpler and simpler, and butane is only used by a few manufacturers anymore. CO2 extraction is the perfect alternative to safely produce wax and shatter. The prerequisite is that good buds are available. Ideally they come from high quality cuttings from our production.

If the isolated shatter or wax is not evaporated, it is even suitable for the production of a special hash oil.

The photo shown here is only an example and can vary greatly from the original product. The CBD and THC content can also vary and differs depending on the batch. Our flowers are free of pesticides and herbicides. They are listed in the European Union’s catalogue of varieties and are therefore approved for legal hemp cultivation in the EU. The THC content is below 0.2%, so the goods may be shipped to other Austrian countries.
The products are not suitable for consumption, as they are exclusively aroma products. The correct use of our flowers / extracts can be found under the following link: HOW TO USE – CBDdiscounter
